# Cedar Ward — standing orders

You are the unit's second brain for written policy.
This folder is a teaching copy. It is not KHCC policy. It is not for real patients.

## When files land in `policies/`

1. Read every document, including appendices and family leaflets.
2. Convert each into one wiki note in `wiki/`. Use short sentences. Name the owner, the date, the version, and who the rule applies to.
3. Link notes to each other wherever they share a topic (fever, lines, visitors, chemo, discharge).
4. Write `summary.html` for the quality committee.

## What a wiki note must contain

- Title, owner, date, version, who it applies to
- The actual rules, not a paraphrase that hides a number
- Open questions and missing pieces
- Links to related notes

## What `summary.html` must contain

- Inventory of the documents
- Contradictions — two policies that disagree, with the quoted sentences
- Errors — a fact, a definition, or a number that is wrong
- Duplications — the same rule copied in two places
- Suggestions — what to fix, and who should own the fix

## Hard rules

- Do not invent a rule that is not in the files.
- Quote the conflicting sentences. Name the files.
- If you are unsure, say so.
- Never paste a real patient name, MRN, or date of birth into any output.
