This is the clinician edition of a book originally written for software engineers. The first version assumed you already knew what a terminal was, what git did, and what an “agent” meant in a software context. Most clinicians don’t, and the book wasn’t useful to them. This edition fixes that.
Read the Foreword for the story of why the book exists. Read the Introduction for who it’s for and how it’s organized. Then start at Chapter 0 — what a terminal is — and work forward. Or jump straight to the full Table of Contents.
Every concrete example in this book comes from a real AI Office pipeline at King Hussein Cancer Center — pathology extraction, AKI alerting, a chemotherapy dose calculator you build yourself from a blank folder. This isn’t a “build a to-do app” tutorial; it’s the actual work clinical AI teams do, taught one habit at a time.
